Want to know more about HB 155?
(Passed in the NH House in January, still being legislated)
This opinion piece includes an important point from an outside businessman who said:
They ought to levy the tax and use the money to educate their citizens. I can’t find employees with the skills we need. We will never expand there.
Here’s another quote by State Senator Donovan Fenton, who worked in a small family business, he states:
When I talk to other small business owners, they tell me what actually helps businesses succeed: reliable infrastructure, strong schools, affordable housing and child care, and workers who can afford to live in the communities they serve. Tax giveaways to massive corporations don’t deliver any of that.

WAKE UP, JAFFREY!!
Our expenditures for local services are NOT the problem–we have no “spending problems”, as many up in Concord say.
By voting for HB 155, Rita Mattson and Jim Qualey are NOT representing our interests.
We need to find representatives who will.
